Eten island

This was the land tour we made Saturday morning before departing for Gaum and on to Palau.  Eten is the site of a WWII airfield.  Today the airstrip is completely covered by jungle and only the sea wall remains as well as some bunkers which we visited.  A few folks live on the island but with no electricity. Running water comes from gravity feed cisterns.

The kids!

Fish for fishing.

The bombed out bunkers remain amongst new growth!
